Studio BOUM is a luxury spatial design and production studio working at the intersection of architecture, culture, and live experience. We design fashion shows, exhibitions, brand activations, and spatial installations for some of the most culturally significant names in luxury across London, Milan, and New York. We are looking for a Mid Weight Creative to join the team in London.
This is a thinking role. You will lead creative concepts from brief to pitch, develop ideas across spatial, narrative, and visual registers, and bring a point of view that is genuinely your own. You will work closely with the Head of Creative and across the full studio — design, production, brand — on projects that demand both ambition and rigour. We are not looking for someone who is good at executing other people's ideas. We are looking for someone who has ideas (original ones) and the clarity and confidence to communicate them.
What we are looking for
A mid weight creative with a background in spatial design, architecture, experiential production, or a related discipline. Strong visual communication skills, fluency in Adobe Suite, and the ability to write and present creative thinking with conviction. A taste level that is attuned, considered, and not derivative.
How to apply
We assess all applications on the strength of the creative response, not the CV alone. We ask every applicant to complete a short project as part of their application. The brief is below. Send your completed project, a CV, and a link to your portfolio to jobs@studioboum.co.uk with the subject line Creative (Mid Weight) — Your Name.
The Brief
You are working with a brand of your choice on an upcoming event (dinner, fashion show, launch event, pop up, party etc..) for 200 people. They want a sleek, minimal, modern environment somewhere in Central London. The venue could be indoors or outdoors. No budget restrictions. Rather than a conventional set up, we want you to think about the spatial arrangement, the atmosphere, and which single creative gesture (material, colour, form, lighting, sound, f&b treatment) — becomes the defining idea of your event.
Your response should be presented across 2 x A3 pages plus a title page, and include:
— 1 x moodboard (1–4 images only)
- A concept overview of approximately 300 words
— 1 x floorplan (1:200, 1:100) showing the spatial intention
— 1 x visualisation (sketch, render or collage) of the space
